2026 Call for Abstract Reviewers

 

The Research Track Committee is seeking qualified academic researchers, scholars, and research scientists to serve as peer reviewers to ensure high-quality, rigorous, and actionable research is presented at the 2026 Muslim American Research Track. Abstract authors are eligible to serve as reviewers, provided they disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.

About the Track

The Muslim American Research Track showcases interdisciplinary, cross-sector, and systems-level research addressing complex challenges facing American Muslims. We invite reviewers with expertise in fields including:

  • Community Empowerment & Capacity Building
  • Emotional Health & Wellness
  • Youth & Family Studies
  • Public Health & Healthcare
  • Social Work
  • Education & Teaching
  • Sociology & Humanities
  • Ethical Use of Technology

Reviewer Qualifications & Process

Reviewers should hold a terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., Psy.D., M.D., or equivalent) or be advanced doctoral candidates with a strong research record across quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, or theoretical frameworks.

  • Review Period: Early December 2026.
  • Volume: The committee anticipates assigning each reviewer 5 to 10 structured abstracts (250-word limit per abstract, evaluating Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions).
  • System: All reviews will be completed electronically through our online review portal.

How to Apply

If you are interested in serving as a reviewer, please complete the online application form by Friday, October 9, 2026. Individuals selected to serve as reviewers will be notified by email and will receive detailed scoring rubrics and instructions. The number of reviewers accepted will be based on track demand across specific disciplines.
